Our Story

Our History...

The American Evangelical Christian Churches (aka AECC),formed in 1944, is a conservative and evangelical Christian denomination. Members of the AECC have a wide variety of theological views. The AECC is not committed to man-made ecclesiastical standards or doctrines. The AECC does not advocate extremism or fanaticism of any kind. On the other hand, if judged by the Word of God as authoritative, the doctrinal position of the AECC is fundamentally sound and as such, many persons are attracted to it by its evangelical and its orthodox character.

The AECC believes everyone should enjoy the freedom to proclaim the Word of God as imparted to them by the Holy Spirit. Our mission is to serve our immediate church community by implementing the Great Commission as found in Matthew 28: 18-20 and ministering to the needs of Gods people as found in Matthew 25: 35-40. In order to accomplish this we reach out and accept into membership those who believe the Bible to be the infallible, inerrant Word ofGod and who are called into His ministry. Our mission is to create a body of believers where we as individuals can realize God in our lives and model, teach, call forth, and celebrate the integrity of the spirit, mind and body in all that we do.

Expanding the vision...

The American Evangelical Christian Churches (AECC) has carried a faithful legacy since 1944—eighty years of equipping leaders, elevating ministries, and empowering believers to fulfill the Great Commission. Today, the Lord is breathing fresh life into our fellowship. We are experiencing a renaissance marked by unity, creativity, and renewed dependence on the Holy Spirit.
As a global, multi-denominational network, the AECC brings together pastors, missionaries, educators, writers, retired ministers, and bi-vocational leaders from every walk of life. This diversity gives us extraordinary capacity: spiritual depth, practical wisdom, academic excellence, and decades of ministry experience ready to be poured into the next generation.
We are expanding the vision by:

  • Equipping ministers through accessible licensing, ordination, and certificate programs
  • Opening doors for ministry in hospitals, jails, specialized communities, and global missions
  • Creating digital hubs that connect our members, missionaries, and churches worldwide
  • Developing resources for pastors’ families, PKs, and those wounded by church experiences
  • Cultivating unity across denominations, cultures, and generations
  • Championing prayer, testimony, and Spirit-led leadership

This is a movement fueled by conviction: a commitment to biblical truth, a passion for the lost, and a desire to help every leader “level up in the Lord.” Together, we press forward, of the same heart and mind, believing God has uniquely positioned the AECC for such a time as this.

Where we are headed...

The AECC is stepping boldly into a new era of Kingdom advancement. Rooted in Scripture and led by the Holy Spirit, we are preparing our ministers and churches to meet the spiritual needs of this generation with clarity, conviction, and compassion.
We see a future where:

  • Leaders are thoroughly equipped: spiritually, academically, and practically to serve in every sphere of influence
  • A digital ecosystem connects our entire fellowship, offering training, mentorship, community, and global collaboration
  • New ministries are launched through coaching, shared resources, and the collective wisdom of seasoned ministers
  • Creatives, scholars, educators, and pastors work together to discern the times and release fresh prophetic insight
  • The next generation is strengthened, supported, and empowered
  • Ministries have access to tools that prevent burnout, restore joy, and protect against church hurt
  • Unity in Christ rises above political or denominational differences, showcasing a Kingdom-first witness
  • Our global reach expands, using both in-person and digital missions

We are committed to moving the ball forward with excellence, efficiency, and intentionality. Our goal is simple but powerful:

To equip leaders in biblical truth to advance God’s Kingdom.

As we press toward what lies ahead (Philippians 3:13–14), we believe God is positioning the AECC to become a stronger covering, a louder voice, and a deeper well of wisdom for the Body of Christ—now and for generations to come.
